What just happened??

Hello my blog furiends.  I am so embarrassed by this photo.....the cone of shame.....there I said it.  I had a dog-peration this week so that I cannot have puppies.  It wasn't so bad....I may be a girl but I'm tough like a boy.  All went well and can you believe I was left there all day long?  Apparently the dogter told them I had to be monitored before I could leave.  I was definitely happy to be rip roarin' out of there and home to my own pen.  The only thing that I hate is not being able to play with Angus.  Not allowed outside with him....can't wrestle or run around.  Ugh....this cone thing is for the birds!  My peeps are puzzled....everything they've read says adult Scotties should be up to 22 lbs.  Well guess what??....I weigh a whopping 20.5 lbs and I'm only 5 months old.  Angus weighs in at a mere 18.5 lbs.  We're fit as a fiddle and healthy.....nothing but muscle on these poochies.  Even our dogter says we're fine.  Any of our other Scotty furiends defy the weight thing?

Later dudes....this girls gotta get her beauty sleep :)

  1. Oh Molly, I'm so sorry about your cone of shame! I had a doughnut of shame when I got my man parts taken off. After my Peeps brought me home, I wanted to play, and it was hard for them to keep me still. I was at my adult weight around 9 months, and haven't really gained much since then, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Rooooo!

    1. Thanks Douglas :) Angus is having his man parts removed soon too. Then it's his turn and I can bark at him instead of him barking at my cone all the time. And now I don't feel so self conscious about the whole weight thing :)

  2. Molly! Don't feel bad about the cone of shame... you got to work it, girl! That's how you get the extra treats!

As for the weight... well, Sam is a Havanese and they told mom he'd only be 10 - 15 pounds. He's about 25 pounds and that's not fat... mom just calls him a mutant!

  3. Hi there cuties! I'm glad your surgery went well, you'll be back to running around in no time!

I don't remember how much Pippen weighed when she was your age but she is 5 now and just about 22 lbs, but she has had to lose a few to get there! Jacque is almost 8 and he probably weighs closer to 30 lbs....maybe a few more! I think scotties are just like people, all different shapes and sizes but beautiful just the same! Well, scotties more so than people!! Haha!!

  7. Don't worry, we've all had that 'career girl' operation. You'll be up and running around soon.

Yesterday, we met a dog at the park who was recovering from her op, only had THREE legs and wearing the cone who out ran Roxy!

    Feel better little Molly.

  8. We knew a 40lbs very healthy Scottie named Morty. He was a joy but boy was he big. He had a recessive gene that made him big, another puppy from a the same "grand parents" was big too. I'd be happy to share more or even connect you to one of the owners.

    :)
